The standard PowerCell 4 comes with a generic power cord that should be replaced for best performance while the PowerCell 4SE comes with our Active T3 SE which is the best power cord for this line conditioner. At this time the PowerCell 4 and PowerCell 4SE are available with US style 120 volt TeslaPlexs only.

Josh,
The PowerCell 4 does not limit current so there will be no problem when used with Meridian's DSP 8000

Just wanted to say that all the system performance attributes that SR claims for the Tranquility Base are not hype. I was fortunate enough to procure a demo unit from CES/SR and have had a chance to implement the unit in my system under the phono preamp, TT motor controller and MPC power strip and the results are NOT subtle! The soundstage has literally exploded in all directions with instrument solidity firmly anchored in space and the bass agility/solidity of my system has being transformed.

I will have more to report out as I dial the unit and system changes in but right off the bat, it is a solid hit out of the park!

An audiophile buddy at the show said the demo was incredible and has to be heard. Can't wait to try it. Where do you recommend starting? Turntable or DAC or Transport, or preamp/amp? Thanks!

I'd like to audition a PowerCell 4 to use with my Meridian system. Can Meridian's large DSP8000's (5 x 150watts per Active Speaker) be used with the Powercell 4?

Thanks,
Josh

The Mac Mini and WD hard drives are not plugged into the Tranquility Base, they are conditioned by being placed on top of the Tranquility Base; this holds true for all components- digital and analogue. In the past cables, conditioners and filters have attempted to correct problems AFTER distortion has contaminated the signal whereas the Tranquility Base prevents a fundamental form of distortion from ever occurring in the first place while the signal is still in your component. The net effect is clarity in the sound field unlike anything you've ever heard.

I have been using a set of mig's under my Wadia 781 for almost a year settling on the ambient setting I simply forgot about them, and enjoyed the music. Recently a non audiophile friend stopped by and commented on the "little chrome bowls" then proceeded to question my sanity. So after playing a few of his favorite tunes I removed the little bowls. Even I had forgotten how much they improved the sound of my system. much of what I had been enjoying had gone away the usual expansive soundstage including depth was greatly reduced. hearing the obvious improvement made a believer in him, and reinforced my opinion of the mig's Highly Recommended.

Alan,
Already in the works however it will not be possible to rebuild existing Tricon USB cables to Active. We do however have a lifetime upgrade path for original Synergistic Research owners through our Lifetime Passport Protection Plan where you can get up to a 70% trade-in allowance toward new Synergistic Research products. Check it out here

Hello Bill,
Thank you for your question. The complexity of build on New TESLA SE power cables makes it impossible to offer an upgrade from standard TESLA power cables, However we suggest contacting your SR dealer regarding trade-ins or use our Lifetime Upgrade Passport to procure a New TESLA SE HoloGram D.

Hello Tom, Thanks for your question. Due to the complexity in cell design of the PowerCell 10 SE MKII it not possible to upgrade from the original, however in most cases your SR dealer should be able to work with you regarding a trade in. Check with your dealer.

Mr. Denny, I would like to comment on my most recent purchase of the SR ART System. I have owned the Acoustic System Resonators for about three years. I had been satisfied with having ten units in my system, however last year after reading a few reviews about the ART I became curious and asked Mr. Robert Stein of UltraSystem if I could audition the ART system. To be honest I was not impressed especially since I had become so accustomed to the ASR system. However after reading some additional reviews I decided to give the ART System another A-B with the ASR system. This time I learned a very valuable lesson, and that is the ART system is extremely sensitive to placement. I read a post on audiogon about using a pair of the BASS units in front of the subs, I also moved the magnetrons until I was able to hear a dramatic upgrade from what I had been getting from the ASR system, I mean I was floored at how natural and open the music became. One thing I did to accomplish this was using a mirror to find the point of reflection whicn in my setup is very critical to achieving the maximum sonics and what the ART is capable of. I don't want to bore you with all the intrical details, however after living with the ASR system for all this time, I am simply blown away with the improvements I have witnessed once setting up the ART and doing it correctly. I apologize for my first encounter with the ART which ended up sending them back to Mr. Stein, however it must be made known to anyone who purchases this system, proper placement is a must and this in my opinion cannot be done in a day. I will probably experiment with some of my other tweaks and try to maximize their union with the ART system. All in all the ART system trumps the ASR, no question about it. And I mean by a large margin. I have never heard my system sound so good and with such a natural sound, depth, height, voices, simply incredible. Thanks for making this possible, audio is hard enough trying to get it right and your product paves the way at cutting some of the difficulty out of a difficult journey

I'm interested in your USB cable. Do you have a trial period where if I don't hear an improvement over my current cable, I can return your cable?

Truly amazing looking, and I am sure with the performance to match to their looks. What are speakers that the Galileo's are hooked up to?

I have installed a Synergistic Research ART room treatment system on loan from my dealer. After talking at length with Ted at Synergistic, I finally have the ART all dialed in. The room resonators are simply amazing. I love the bass station. It really evens out the bass in the room. I had to turn the sub down and for some music I turned it off. Next is the Vibratron, it centers the image and soundstage in my slightly off center system. The satellites seem to make the soundstage a little bigger as well.

Thank you for the support , but I was wrong about
the Hologram A being the better cable for the Wadia. This conclusion was
based on using only one Hologram in my system.
I figured out that there is a "magic" synergy
between the Hologram D on the digital source and the Hologram A
on the preamp. I felt always an imperfection when using only one Hologram.

So I decided to take both D and A cables.
1+1=3 in my opinion.
I also want to thank Frank ( SR
Belgium) and Roger (HifiCorner, my local store) providing excellent services.
I guess the Galileo speaker Cells I ordered to
upgrade my SR Ac.Ref. speaker cable will be the icing on cake.
I will keep you informed.

Sincerely,
Joris , Belgium.

Elliot, I wanted to thank you for all of your and Michael's help in choosing the Accelerator interconnects. They sound fabulous! The sound is much improved over even my Kaleidoscope cables. I notice the sound of drums is especially accurate, even on less than terrific recordings. The cables will only get better with break-in I am assuming and look forward to that. While playing records today that were recorded in the 1960's I was pleasantly surprised hearing a terrific (for it's time) soundstage.

Thanks again guys!

I know what you are thinking... but they DO work just as claimed. I have a complete system that includes a bass station in the front and rear of my theater. The bass from the 18" subwoofers is extremely tight and deep. The detail, air, and imaging is nothing like I have ever enjoyed. The Art system helps blend the front speakers with the side and rear speakers, making it sound like there is sound coming from all over the room. There is no other reasonably priced product that has made such a difference in my system. I demo the system for Friends and Business associates from all over the country and they can't believe the difference. What starts out as a 20 min demo usually turns into a late evening of watching movies and concert videos! Enjoy them!

One more comment. I received a complementary set of 3 MiG's from the Cable Company and with a great deal of skepticism put them under my bryston cd player, and was blown away by the ambient sound that it gave in my acoustically live room. I got goose bumps for the first time listening to my system. Keep up great work!!!

Jay,

1. Is your Galileo Universal Interconnect Cell compatible with this set-up? - YES

2. If yes, would it be correct to assume that the Cell will be installed between the interconnect and the amplifier? - I engineered a special Galileo Interconnect Cell especially for integrated amplifiers. It terminates at the beginning of the cable running from source to integrated and is different from standard source to pre-amp Galileo Universal Interconnect Cells.

3. How good is the resolving quality of your fixed cable on the Cell that will be plugged-in into the amp? And, can this cable be upgraded to your best cable? - The cable provided to run from Cell to component is the best cable for this application so no upgrade is necessary. When you hear the Galileo Universal Interconnect Cells in your system (after 120 hours of break in / warm up) you should have no doubts.

I hope this helps.

Hello,

I have some technical questions for your engineer (not a sales person). My system does not have a pre-amp, so it isn't like the set-ups discussed on your website. My fully differential CD player has a built-in tube output stage and is connected by an interconnect (XLR) to a fully differential solid state amplifier:
1. Is your Galileo Universal Interconnect Cell compatible with this set-up?
2. If yes, would it be correct to assume that the Cell will be installed between the interconnect and the amplifier?
3. How good is the resolving quality of your fixed cable on the Cell that will be plugged-in into the amp? And, can this cable be upgraded to your best cable?

Best Regards,
Jay

Karel,
Their are no stupid questions, only stupid people :)

Actually your question is excellent; the short leads are provided for the rare instance when a subwoofer requires two connections hence the short lead and adapter are supplied for such subwoofers.

Dear all,
I am looking to buy a SR subwoofer cable and confronted with the picture on the website, I realize I'm at a loss how I would have to connect it properly. This may be the dumbest question of the year, but I just cannot figure out where the short lead has to be applied. Is the splitter connected to an rca pre-amp OUT, does the short lead go to the power amp IN (and the actual long cable to the sub's LFE)?
Thanks and regards
Karel

I am submitting an addendum to my prior email about the migs.
I used them on my cd 'Live in gadansk"-David Gilmour CD---
and the cd lit up the room. The difference here was outstanding
in terms of the soundstage being wider-sweeter----richer sounding.
Maybe there is a more profound effect on certain recordings, but this was spectacular
I am convinced my friend--truely---try it yourself-play "shine on crazy diamond"
with migs in place--------WOW----

Regarding the migs-I had asked if they will work on glass——-
well, they do. I hear what seems to be an overall richer
sound stage–perhaps “wider” if u will.I’m not going to lie and say
they have a drop dead audible difference-but there is a positive effect.
The problem is its like trying to get a hockey puck stay still
on ice–but it’s doable.They are somewhat effective—-
If i had a better rack besides the one i have with lousy glass shelves,I dont know how much of a difference would be heard……..
You asked for candid objectivity—–u got it

I got these about a month ago. It took a few minutes to install them and about one hour for everything to settle down. What you hear is greatly improved clarity and better dynamics. It is trite but true that once you have heard them, you will not remove them. I just cannot bring myself to go back to describe what is lost without them. They are expensive but the improvement were it possible to gain in a better amp or speakers would cost you much more.

The short version. The MiGs are well worth the price of admission.
The longer version.
I would define my system as high-end. Not crazy high end but definitely at the point where I have to spend exponential more money in order to get incremental increases in performance. I can tell when new audio gear is introduced to my system. That being said I don't constantly change gear for the sake of doing so and can differentiate between "better" and "different".
I am using three sets. One (pinpoint) under my Sony 777es, one set (ambient) under a Wyred4Sound stp-se, and a final set (pinpoint) under my Rotel 1090 amp. I initially started with my cd player and progressively added MiGs to the other components. They provided all the fun stuff we audiophiles are looking for....soundstaging, ambience, depth. bass, and detail but mostly they helped music sound more like the real thing.
Initially I was worried they might be a waste of money..that maybe they wouldn't provide a enough of a difference to justify a purchase. My retailer offered a trial period so I decided to give them a try. On my lesser gear I use Vibrapods but on the above listed components, the MiGs replaced Ceraballs, and Roller Block Jrs. with upgraded tungsten carbide balls. Actually, when I ordered the MiGs I planned to purchase two sets but the salesman thought I wanted three. I contemplated calling to change the order but I figured I always could send a set back. Needless to say, I keep all three sets and all my previous footers have been replaced with the MiGs. The MiGs improved upon, even a system with footers, to easily justify their price. The seemed to make music sound more organic.
As a fun little side note, before I inserted the third set on my amp, I used it on my little Tivoli radio. I know it is a little on the excessive side but NPR has never sounded so good on that little radio. (pointpoint with two in the front, one in the back).
Fun stuff at a fair price!

Shame on you. Nikola Tesla is spinning in his grave. This cordset is the biggest waste of money I have ever seen. How you can abuse Tesla's name like this and fleece the ignorant is beyond me.
How the hell can you people (?) sleep at night?
There are honest ways to make a living, and this ain't one of them.
Peter Belt and old man Tice would be proud of you. "Quantum Tunneled" indeed! What a load of horse s**t!
Meant sincerely,
Tom

Argi,
What did you set the Mig's / Stillpoints on? Were you using a Stillpoints rack? I've got custom maple shelves under my components (but wish I could afford a Stillpoints rack). I'm thinking of trying the Mig's and am wondering if they will work in this configuration. Does anyone else have any experience with Migs and wood?
