The Master File Project
The Master File Project is the first in what we hope to be a long line of direct to disc recordings featuring Synergistic Research cables, resonator tuning devices, and TESLA power products. The world’s first live Synergistic Research recording
The worlds first live recording featuring Synergistic Research technologies was a performance by the American Philharmonic of Sonoma County, recorded by minimalist recording engineer Jack Kenny at the Wells Fargo Center in Santa Rosa California on Saturday, January 30, 2010.

On Saturday, Jack replaced his usual PS Audio Powerplant Premiere AC regenerator, PS Audio and Basis powercords, and XLO interconnects, with Synergistic Research TESLA PowerCell 10 SE power conditioners, Active TESLA Hologram D, Precision AC, and T2 power cords, and Active TESLA Apex interconnects- all powered by Galileo MPC’s.
Synergistic Research brings the orchestra into focus
On Sunday, January 30, 2010 Jack recorded the encore performance, this time with his usual PS Audio Powerplant Premiere AC regenerators, PS Audio Perfectwave AC 12 and Basis power cords, and XLO interconnects.

Microphone: AKG C24 circa 1965-70 purchased in 1974 for $750 from RCA, in a sealed and un-open box. Microphone Pre-Amp: Ampex MX10 Modified and updated by Bill Ruck. A to D Converter: Alesis Master Link, modified by Steve Balliet. Monitoring headphones: Stax Sigma, Stax Professional, SRX Mk III, Grado RS 1, Grado 1000, Unisonic Model 9. Headphone Amplifiers: Stax SRM T1S, Melos SHA-1. Interconnects: XLO, circa 1998. Line Conditioning: PS Audio Power Plant Premiere. AC Cables: PS Audio Perfectwave AC 12 and Basis Audio
Recording Details
Master 24/96 files and direct to 44k file transfers will be available for both nights performances so you can directly compare recordings made with (and without) Synergistic Research technologies. We don’t have to tell you we are excited about the results- if you feel Synergistic Research Active TESLA cables and PowerCells open up the sound of your system now, just wait until you hear what they do for a direct to disc recording!
It was exciting to hear a live feed through so many different headphones!
A set of 3 MiG’s were placed under the vintage Ampex tube mic pre-amp for a dramatic increase in clarity!
