Actually your question is excellent; the short leads are provided for the rare instance when a subwoofer requires two connections hence the short lead and adapter are supplied for such subwoofers.

I am looking to buy a SR subwoofer cable and confronted with the picture on the website, I realize I&#039;m at a loss how I would have to connect it properly. This may be the dumbest question of the year, but I just cannot figure out where the short lead has to be applied. Is the splitter connected to an rca pre-amp OUT, does the short lead go to the power amp IN (and the actual long cable to the sub&#039;s LFE)?
