Tranquility Carbon

Condition signal from within.

Introducing Tranquility Base Carbon, the first all-new Tranquility Base in over a decade. We started with a new chassis machined from a solid billet of aircraft aluminum for a 50% slimmer and 80% more rigid chassis. We then experimented with new laminates and arrived at carbon fiber for its superior response to mechanical and airborne vibrations. We then applied our most advanced EM Cell technology directly transferred from our Galileo SX PowerCell. Finally, its internal UEF Technology was transferred from our new state-of-the-art SRX cable loom. The net result is a thinner and more rigid Tranquility Base with a lower noise floor from which springs improved dynamics and soundstaging combined with smoother, more extended high frequencies.

Tranquility Carbon

Condition at the source.

Tranquility Base history. Shortly after launching our first PowerCell line conditioner, our lead designer began work on a new application for his then new patent-pending EM Cell technology. It was early 2010, and Ted had the idea for an Electromagnetic Cell Field-Effect Conditioner capable of conditioning signal inside a component. First, we developed several flat EM Cells for placement below components running tests on multiple variants until we perfected an EM Cell capable of improving any component. We then experimented with different laminates engineered to cancel mechanical vibrations selecting the option that created the best sound quality. The first Tranquility Base was launched at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in late 2012. Three years later, we refreshed the Tranquility Base lineup in 2015 with the addition of UEF Technology. We have been building Tranquility Bases continuously since 2012 with minor running improvements along the way, but with no major overhaul or change to the fundamental design for the past decade, until now.

SR Ground Block

This goes to 11.

Elevate your Tranquility Base Carbon’s performance along with your entire system when you star-ground it all to an Active Ground Block SE or Galileo SX Ground Block. You can even ground the shields of Synergistic Research Atmosphere SX, Galileo SX, and SRX cable looms. The more you ground, the more you lower your system’s noise floor. So you hear a larger and more layered sound field with powerful dynamics and detail, all with increased musicality over a standard ground, thanks to our Active Grond Filters’ elimination of noise and distortion from your audio system.

Tranquility UEF LPS

Perfect Power.

With a Tranquility UEF Power Supply driving your Tranquility Base Carbon and Tranquility PODS, your soundstage increases in size and scale. Low frequencies are likewise improved with greater impact and control, while resolution is enhanced thanks to a lowering of your system’s noise floor. The net effect is a system-wide upgrade where your SR components get a boost in dynamic range and refinement for a not-so-subtle improvement to your system’s overall performance. Available with a no-risk in-home audition.

“all instruments projected further into the room with the surrounding ambience having greater clarity.”

the noise floor drops and the product’s presentation gets less overtly ‘electronic’ sounding.”

“There is superior rendering of detail and subtle sounds of instruments. Both micro and macro dynamic qualities to the music are more easily heard.”
