Electromagnetic Cells (EM Cells)
Our patented Electromagnetic Cells are foundational building blocks responsible for the electromagnetic conditioning across your power line, your components, and your system’s signal path. In its most basic capacity, EM Cells project an electromagnetic field that filters out and redirects contaminants, allowing a combination of the proper signal and mechanical energy to pass. By eliminating extraneous feedback that takes form as high frequency hash, you are left with sound that to the human brain sounds natural. The result begins with a lower noise floor, which allows the rendering of more information, greater dynamics while improving smoothness and effortless, and an overall more holographic and accurate soundstage.
Initially developed for the first Synergistic Research PowerCell, EM Cells are now present in just about every active component we offer. You’ll notice our active, rolled EM Cells not only in our PowerCell, but also in our Active Ground Blocks and power cables from the Atmosphere SX line and up. We have also designed flat, platform-like EM Cells that we use in both our Tranquility Carbon Bases and Pods as well as within our other electronic components like our Voodoo Streamer/Server. And as a third set of applications, we developed passive EM Cells that come to life in some of our cables and Carbon Tuning Discs.
Some of our most recent and upcoming product releases, such as the PowerCell 14 and the SRX PowerCell, feature a comprehensive redesign of our EM Cells which deliver a significant increase in electromagnetic conditioning. Even better, Our EM Cells’ supercapacitor capabilities have increased exponentially and can deliver more peak current per millisecond than what you can get from the wall, enabling even the most power-hungry amplifiers to sound more dynamic with better leading-edge transients.
Why it Matters
