Ultra-Low Frequency (ULF) Generators
Our Ultra Low Frequency (ULF) RF acoustic field generators broadcast various low frequency harmonics in relation to the Earth’s Schumann resonances. By doing so, they act as a dither to overpower ambient RFI and EMI in your room and components, resulting in a lower noise floor with music that flows more effortlessly, more expansively, and is less fatiguing. Better yet, many of our ULF applications allow you to bias the harmonics in different ways to personalize the presentation of music in the ways you most prefer.
ULF was initially developed for macro applications that affect the presentation in your listening room, such as our FEQ Carbons and Atmosphere modules. These applications are actively powered, but they are not in the signal path! Instead, our ULF-enabled products broadcast inaudible waves concurrently while music is playing through loudspeakers. Through R&D, we have since applied ULF technology in more localized, micro applications within our component offerings such as our Active Ground Blocks, PowerCells, Voodoo streamer/server and more, finding that a close partnership between the application of our EM Cells and allowing people to choose from different ULF biases reaps positive results in how they perceive and connect with their music.
Why it Matters
Often called the “heartbeat” of the Earth, Schumann resonances are natural, ever-present vibrations generated between the Earth and its ionosphere. Schumann resonances make up the principal background in the part of the electromagnetic spectrum from 3 Hz through 60 Hz caused by a waveguide, a directional transmission of the Earth. These resonant frequencies impact everything from brain function and circadian rhythm to thought patterns and proper heartbeat. Simply said, Schumann resonances can be thought of as an electromagnetic connective tissue between human beings, other life around us, and our planet.
Monitoring of Schumann resonances and disruptions to them are employed to track global lightning activity, earthquake prediction, and global warming.
