MiG SRX
Mechanical Interface Ground.
Redefined.
The next evolution in mechanical energy management.
The MiG SRX (Mechanical Interface Ground) represents a major advance in the science of component coupling. Building on fifteen years of innovation—from the original 2008 MiG to the industry-benchmark MiG SX—the SRX is no longer just an isolation footer. It is a resonance engine designed to integrate your components into a singular, coherent field ecology.
While traditional footers attempt to “isolate” (often deadening the music), MiG SRX governs the flow of energy. By combining a precision CNC-machined resonance chamber with a triad of next-generation UEF Metamaterials, MiG SRX captures mechanical chaos and converts it into a control vector for your system’s holographic realism.
Inside the Design
The Architecture of Silence
Strategic CNC-Machined Resonators
Unlike the uniform forged domes of the past, MiG SRX features a high-carbon steel resonator with varied wall thickness. Through extensive testing, we’ve mapped how energy propagates through this geometry. By strategically thinning and thickening specific regions of the resonator, we control the propagation and exit-velocity of mechanical energy.
Result: an audible leap in image density, low-level detail, and temporal accuracy.
The Triad Strategy: Three Unique Metamaterials
In a world-first for mechanical footers, a set of three MiG SRX is not three identical units. We’ve moved beyond a “universal” solution to a Strategic Triad.
Each footer in a set of three contains a distinct, next-generation UEF Metamaterial formulation, voiced to address a specific performance vector:
Footer Alpha – Engineered for holographic realism and soundstage density
Footer Beta – Optimized for low-frequency impact, structural drive, and bass authority
Footer Gamma – Dedicated to HF air, extension, and top-end liquidity
By deploying these three formulations together, MiG SRX achieves a balance of slam and refinement that a single, do-everything material could never replicate.
Field Integration: The LogiQ & FEQ Connection
MiG SRX is the first footer voiced to operate in synergy with our FEQ Carbon and upcoming LogiQ ELF / ULF field generators. The resonance engine and UEF Metamaterials are tuned to track the same ultra-low-frequency bias used across the Synergistic Research ecosystem.
This turns your component’s mechanical footprint into an intentional part of the system’s overall field architecture, rather than an unmanaged source of vibration and RF interaction.
From Lead Designer Ted Denney
“With MiG SX, we achieved a benchmark in precision. But with MiG SRX, I wanted to go deeper. By moving to a fully machined resonator with varied wall thickness, we gained the ability to shape energy rather than just move it.
“By splitting the UEF Metamaterials into a triad of three different voices, we no longer have to compromise. You get the air, you get the slam, and you get the holography—all at once. This is where the Six Pillars truly operate as a single, unified design.”
Master Your Sound
Dual Tuning Options
MiG SRX remains a versatile tuning tool, offering two distinct sonic profiles based on orientation.
Pinpoint.
(Focus & Articulation)
Configuration: Two footers “Round Side Down,” one footer “Round Side Up”
Sonic Result: Sharpened soundstage focus, surgical image placement, and faster, tighter bass transients
Best For: Digital streamers, PowerCells, and solid-state gear where maximum articulation is desired
Ambient
(Scale & Liquidity)
Configuration: Two footers “Round Side Up,” one footer “Round Side Down”
Sonic Result: An expansive, layered soundstage with holographic bloom and a more relaxed, liquid presentation
Best For: DACs, phono stages, and systems where you want to evoke the soulful warmth of the best tube designs

SR Fundamentals
The Six Pillars of Synergy
MiG SRX sits at the critical intersection of Mechanical Tuning and EM Field Control in the Six Pillars of Synergy. It proves that in a truly high-resolution system, nothing is “out of the signal path.”
By aligning mechanical resonance with the system’s field architecture, MiG SRX doesn’t just improve a single component—it helps the entire system lock into a more coherent, holographic, and musically complete state.
MiG Reviews
‘Everything matters’ as the saying goes and like almost everything else in life today, somebody is always looking to stretch the envelope of what’s possible. Ted Denney is one of the fastest horses within the high-end audio race today. I’m not at the finish line with insight into every variation in these different categories, but the Orange Duplex, the Carbon Fiber Duplex Cover, and the MiG SX footers sound like they could be near the limit of “what’s possible” at this point in time.

With the addition of the Synergistic Research MiG SX Footers, the already exceptional performance of my Calyx Femto DAC was kicked up a notch with sound that was more relaxed and with more meat on the bones, so to speak. To my ears, the Calyx Femto is still one of the best DACs I have ever heard and the MiG SX Footers proved that even with this very high level of performance, there was room for improvement with the right footers.
Malcom Gomes, Positive Feedback, August 2020
The music has a greater sense of ease and clarity with a speedier attack and delivery. There is a sense of more resolution and transparency with all of the vocals and instruments. The Keith Jarrett Trio and Ben Webster Quintet had a snap and presence that wasn’t previously felt. This morning’s Spanish piano with Alicia deLarroccha and French piano with Walter Giesek both felt more in the room with them. Bravo to Ted for the design and implementing the choice of materials to create this musical sound enhancement.

I have now been officially recording masters for the last three months using the MiG-SX supporting my A/D with very gratifying results. The ultimate proof comes from client response which has been overwhelmingly outstanding.
Every client has brought up how easy it is to hear what is there and how defined everything is. They can more clearly discern what they ask for and it is easier for me to give them what they are looking for.
One main component of mastering is definition. It might be keeping what is there. It might be about enhancing it. It could be and often is about not bringing out unwanted definition in the wrong areas or spectrums. The MiG-SX makes things more defined but to my ear always in a way that gravitates to space around the instruments, depth of stereo field and the relationship of one thing to another. Many products that affect these areas often make one area better at the expense of losing something somewhere else. It’s also worth noting that recordings that suffer from sibilance, seems to suffer less as you can clearly hear resolution below and above the problem frequencies which improves the overall sound.
Resonance is also dramatically affected and improved. Since most audio we perceive includes resonance from instruments or human voices, hearing that resonance more clearly really elevates the potential for a “Being There” moment.
Bottom line is that for me this is a “must have ” component. Like most HiFi aficionados or audio enthusiasts, pro or amatuer, I have spent a considerable amount of time and financial investment choosing gear, listening, trying different cables, outlets, grounding schemes and power boxes. The MiG-SX has dramatically improved whatever I put them under. The ability to turn them over and try different tunings is incredible and there is always a clear winning position to my ears.
Cost ratio vs overall system performance and improvement is another “no brainer” for me. The MiG-SX speak for themselves.
